At RuralRise, our programs are designed to transform rural communities from the ground up by tackling the root causes of poverty, inequality, and rural-urban migration. Each initiative is youth-centered, community-owned, and aligned with Namibia’s national development priorities.

We work across interconnected areas. from sustainable agriculture and food systems to digital innovation, leadership development, and policy advocacy, ensuring that rural communities are not just recipients of aid but active drivers of change.

Our flagship initiatives, such as the From the Ground Up youth empowerment program and the Ignite Rural Development vodcast, showcase how RuralRise empowers young leaders, amplifies rural voices, and builds solutions that are inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.

The Ignite Rural vodcast is RuralRise’s multimedia platform dedicated to amplifying rural voices and sparking national conversations on the future of Namibia’s rural communities. Each episode features youth leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and development practitioners sharing insights, challenges, and solutions in rural development. The vodcast not only informs but also inspires action, bridging the knowledge gap between rural realities and national policy agendas.

From the Ground Up (FTGU) is RuralRise’s flagship youth empowerment initiative. The program nurtures rural youth as leaders, equipping them with the skills, mentorship, and resources to design and lead community projects that drive sustainable change. FTGU emphasizes community ownership and sustainability, ensuring that solutions are locally relevant and impactful. Through training workshops, policy advocacy, and incubation support, FTGU connects young leaders with opportunities to actively shape Namibia’s development agenda.
